I'm back, though I will not be very active. I've been juggling my time between racing RC cars IRL and a bunch of other things, and I probably won't be on much.

Anyway, I just had my 20th Birthday six days ago. Speaking of which, a friend of mine got me Portal 2 and I beat it in two days.

Finally, as for the Tracks tab, I need some recommendations on a few things. I'm wanting to make a new track to start things off again, but a lot of what I make is either too long (back in the N64 days there was no such thing as a track that was too long, so long as it was creative), too flat, or doesn't have the proper "flow" (which I translate as you can't just mash the gas through the track). I can understand how to correct the first two, but the flow issue... I personally find tracks that require strategic use of the brakes to be a lot more fun than ones that you can just PF+Turn through (in other words, the Puff & Sting Pyro vs W+M1 Pyro argument from TF2). How can I compromise without destroying my track stile entirely?

The tf2 issue is not so much about how you play the pyro, but more IF you play it at all. If you do and want to be on top of the team, then well, yes, you will have to learn how to puff 'n sting. Or just use the backburner/phlogistonator (and be called a noob :) )

Butttt back on case ^^ I like your tracks, but like most people, I like it when I don't have to break whilst driving the track (except for commencing a drift) because it often makes nice transitions or keeping a driveable speed pretty hard.
But I do think it's possible to build nice tracks with having to break strategically, as long as you give the driver enough SPAAAAAACE!!!! ;)

Flow is about the exit of one turn leading into the entrance to another. Flowy tracks can still have strategic use of brakes.

I like longer tracks, such as the PMC tracks. But generally, for online play... a shorter track between 30secs and a minute is better. Less track to remember. Quicker to play in a series of rounds, and easier to do repeated runs in Time Attack to optimize your time. There's a reason that it's become a somewhat standard time for tracks.

Nothing wrong with longer tracks though. They can be extremely satisfying to drive, as long as they're well made.

I was a bit disappointed with the fight with Wheatly, though. It was too easy compared to some of the puzzles.

Just keep your style! A track is a good track, when the author feels satisfied with it. Anything else has not to do with how good or how bad you track is. It's just about like it or rather not, which obviously is a personal taste and has nothing to do with the quality.

There are many tracks I don't like, but I still respect, because I can see the author's effort. Don't try to build a track that you don't like, just so others do. Build a track that you like and which others respect!
