It's taken a while, but they're finally here! The Mania Exchange user blogs. A place to share all things ManiaPlanet. :d

What are the blogs for?
The blogs are a way of promoting/sharing creations, events, competitions, projects, websites, videos/movies, tips and tutorials. Anything ManiaPlanet related really.

A word about linking to things: Write something about why you're linking to it and why you think someone will enjoy it or find it useful. Feel free to expand on your thoughts and explain things or give helpful information to your readers.

What are the blogs not for?
The blogs are not for your own personal use. So refrain from posting pictures of your last holiday, what you had for dinner etc. Anything that isn't related to ManiaPlanet. There are many other blogging services available where you can share this information.

Do not ask/beg for awards.
Do not post entries with little to no content that only link to tracks.
Do not post big, ugly, or flashy images.

Be advised. All the normal rules of MX also apply to the blogs. For instance, the blogs are also a public area of the site. English should be the primary language you post in.

Featuring ... (or 'reviewing')
The review feature allows you to review/feature up to 10 tracks per blog entry. You can begin a review/feature by visiting any visible track page and clicking on the 'Feature this track on your blog' link. Or by manually entering up to 10 track ID's in the space provided.

Entries that feature a track will be displayed on the tracks' page.

Cant edit the post it seems? Or add tags since it always says I have to separate them by a comma even though that's exactly what I did :p

The blog feature will really make a great addition to the site, and as people respond and leave comments, the most interesting blogs should rise to the top of the list. So while its okay if your blog just says 'hi guys here is my new track' ... - thats not really so interesting, so your blog will get mostly ignored.

Therefore when you are going to make a blog post, think about what you want to say and if people want to read it. If you want to tell us about your new track, then thats fine but make it interesting, explain what is good about it, make a story from it and make it entertain people.

The other thing is, writing articles which happens to feature other peoples tracks is cooler than ones that only feature your own. Maybe you have a top 10 tracks of a certain style that you would like to tell everyone about. But if you do lists, then again, make the list interesting by saying what the reasons are for your choices....

Or you may want to write about something which features no tracks at all, maybe you would like to have a rant about something or ask a searching question, the limit is set by how your own imagination works. The people who are the most creative in what they write can make a big success story for themeselves from this feature :)

It's just a shame Forzyy made that rule about not posting what was for dinner yesterday, as I had this huge pizza with loads of toppings and...... ;) :p

Things might be buggy and things might be missing. MrA wanted it done and I did, I'm half asleep. Report bugs in the bugs forum and I'll fix them as soon as possible.
