Situated deep inside the pterodactyl exhibit within Jurassic Park, this is a course renowned for its sheer beauty as well as for its extreme length and technicality. It aims to meld the awe-inspiring gorgeousness of Earth's Jurassic period with the extreme concentration required of a very long, technical racetrack. A mess-up here will bite you in the butt quicker than a pterodactyl dives on its prey.
Welcome to the longest, most beautiful track ever created for TrackMania 2: Canyon.
Welcome...to Jurassic Park Raceway.
The track includes:
- An INSANE amount of detail, with stunning lighting and architecture
- Jaw-dropping graphics which push the game's engine right to its very limits
- The main track itself, complete with pits on the front straight
- Dozens of stands for the fans
- Fan parking
- A strip mall for food and merchandise, designed to simulate the feel of being on the track
- A fans' entrance, complete with ticket booths
- A teams' entrance (again with ticket stands), which leads to...
- ...a teams' parking area
Ways to play this track
Unlike most TrackMania courses, there are two ways to play this track:
- Time Attack: The classic TrackMania experience. Go for the best time either online or solo, enjoying many of the track's best views as you breeze by them on your way to victory!
- Free Roam: My personal favorite way to play this track. Open it up in the editor, place the car somewhere outside the main track, and explore the area at your leisure. Take a trip down to the shops, enjoy the view from the hills near the far edge of the track's area (when facing from the fans' entrance), or just ride around. It's up to you!
Notes
This track is
INSANELY RESOURCE-DEMANDING. You will need
at least 3gb video RAM to play this track smoothly. You'll probably be able to get by with 2gb, but it won't play very smoothly at all. This is because the track is so gorgeous and detailed that it pushes the game's engine right to the very limits of what it can do. I'll get around to uploading a .ZIP to MediaFire with a few versions which are less resource-demanding.
