Started in the fall of 2017, United We Are is an endurance track featuring your favorite tech-mappers who united to craft a 15-minute megastructure. Under the organization of frvr, over thirty players have worked on the map: Besides the 30 mappers, who each built a 30 second track, Snake55wildcat supported the setup of the MediaTracker while shorty took care of giving feedback on the map.
In fact, the track was finished quickly compared to the total time since it was begun. Within a few weeks and months the layout of the track was built and further developed in a progressive way. However, there were major decelerations in the course of the scenography: The construction took more than a year until fredair took the lead and redeveloped the complete scenery. The fundamental motif was a heavy scenery based on interconnected structures, which, by building a skyscraper-like tower in the mid of the centre, define and dominate the atmosphere. Whereas lower situated arcades give the impression of a compressed atmosphere resulting from complex track layout and heavy scenery, higher situated segments clearly feel lighter and classier.
