The name "Oranges" simply came to my head because it's kind of a forgotten tradition in Christmas to find an orange in stockings on Christmas morning. So a bit of history can't be that bad...
St. Nicholas heard from a poor man who wasn’t able to find suitors for his daughters because he couldn't have money to offer a dowry.
He tossed three sacks of gold down the chimney for each of the dowries where it happened to land in each of the girls’ stockings that were hanging by the fire to dry.
