-About the Track-
This is my track for the December 2011 MTC. Due to the placement of the pre-existing blocks in the base map, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to make an RPG inspired map.
The scenery, route, and some of the tricks in this were heavily inspired by many RPG maps I've played. I realize it's a bit short to be considered an RPG, but hopefully the feel of the track at least reminds you of RPGs a little.
Speaking of the scenery... this is probably the most scenery I've ever made in any track in the 5 years I've played TrackMania. I really love the new lighting engine here in TM2. So much cool stuff is possible. I feel like I've just scratched the surface of the possibilities here.
Author time is hopefully challenging for most, but it's also quite beatable as I took some parts a little slower than is possible... such as the narrow road section.
-Disclaimer-
I've listed it here on MX as RPG, as that's the closest style that it resembles. Please don't take offense at me listing it as such if you're a purist RPG player and don't think this is difficult enough, or long enough, or because it has no story.
I know it's not fully an RPG. But I also listed it as Beginner difficulty. It's interesting that as a race map it's probably "Advanced" difficulty, but as an RPG it's quite clearly "Beginner". Seemingly style and context have a lot to do with how we view difficulty ratings.
