In our ninth season in Antarctica, Sea Shepherd is embarking upon its biggest campaign yet to defend at-risk whales!
During the past eight seasons, Sea Shepherd’s direct-action interventions have saved the lives of more than 3,600 whales and exposed illegal Japanese whaling to the world.
This year, our campaign is aptly dubbed Operation Zero Tolerance because we aim to send the whalers home without them killing a single whale.

Operation Zero Tolerance Update.
It is February 6th and still not one whale slain. We have chased the whaling fleet for 1800 miles westward and they have not had time to stop and kill whales. The Japanese whaling fleet is being internationally exposed for stealing tsunami funds and fleecing Japanese taxpayers with this ruthless antiquated industry that now continues to exist only as a glorified welfare project. We have never been stronger than we are this year and we will be more effective this year than any year previous. The campaign is going very well.
