this map will be played in the GrandFinal of the
SCL - Canyon Endurance Premiership!
This is my one and only
blockmix-league map.
I used blockmix here mostly for 3 sections. 2 of them being the identity of the map. On the one hand the tunnel offroad at the beginning, but even more important on the other hand the
grass turn. I always wanted to use the grass on the outside of the GP block. With blockmix and objects I force everyone on a flowy line over the grass here. The 3rd part is the offroad part under banked GP, which doesn't have the bumps at entry and exit.
The podium is on the mountain under the platform in red light. The poles at mountain tunnel entry and exit, you can compare with stadium poles. In the entry the optimal line goes outside of both poles, but you can also safe it by going between them, when you go for little less speed in the turn before.
I started building this track in around 2012, when blockmixing only worked with a tool. I used it to somehow bring the mountain tunnel Offroad and the Grass into a Tech-map. The blockmixing made other things possible, that I wouldn't be able to reproduce nowadays, for example killing the bumps in the Offroad turn under banked GP, but still having the lighter dirt. No idea, how that worked. The track got multiple updates. I once started to build it again from scretch for a more proper blockmix. And now I used the new possibilities of objects, meshmodelling with the help of Lars and the easier blockmixing techniques to make it more beautiful and to kill all the black holes.
