Red Canyon of the SNES is reborn!
Featuring music from the GX cover by Amusement Vision to rock with.
Fully custom F-Zero MT for the F-Zero experience
Fast as hell to fit the F-Zero feel, in the same vein as my Big Blue track (fast drifts, laps built for online play, simple track build, and not very hard but a little tricky once you get going super fast on the later laps)
Under 10,000cc. But having detailed scenery. After DakkoN's comment about the scenery of Big Blue being a bit disappointing I decided this time to go CrAZy with scenery this time around. The SNES tracks never looked THIS good
This track is a mixed one, (yes i support good mixes!) for speed purposes and scenery. But dont cringe, i strictly dont do "bad" mixing. You'l never see me to things like flickering, and ugly track scenery.
I made this track because Red Canyon was always on my to-do-list but the environments weren't capturing it. Enter TM2 Canyon, and the first thing that came to my mind... was start off the Canyon tracking with the original champ of Canyons RED CANYON! I always felt like this track series got neglected. The original feel of Red Canyon was very diagonal and hard edged with the road going like this /\/\/\/. The music of the SNES i felt was always the best rendition of it, its a classic and it rocks. The later Red Canyon tracks in F-Zero started to get smoother and smoother... F-Zero X had smooth curves and some narrow roads, and then F-Zero GX was just ... a couple turns on the canyon cliffside
So right here right, right now I am returning Red Canyon to its oldschool glory.
Since the track designs of the SNES Red Canyon were mostly diagonals, I went with mixing to get that ability without having super wide "track" I could have gone without mixing and just race around on the canyon floor on dirt but then... i would lose the speed and traction I wanted, i mean there was never a point in F-Zero where youre sliding around (except on the ice strips)
Plus! i wouldnt have been able to fit the awesome MT work if the track was just flat canyon floor shaped like RedCanyon, it just wouldnt be the same, tracks in F-Zero are
suspended in the air!
